Frequently asked questions

Does my child need to already know how to swim?
We're a swim team, not lessons, so swimmers should be comfortable in the water. Not sure? Bring your swimmer to a practice and a coach will help you figure out if it's a good fit.
How much does it cost?
The club fee is $25 per season (summer and winter). Every swimmer also needs an annual USA Swimming membership, paid when you register. Meet entry fees are separate and paid per meet.
Why do we need a USA Swimming membership?
It covers your swimmer's insurance at practice and lets them compete in sanctioned meets, where their official times are recorded.
What does my swimmer need to bring?
A practice suit, goggles, a swim cap, a towel and a water bottle.
Do we have to go to swim meets?
Our meet policy is coming soon. Meets are where swimmers see their progress, and the coaches will help each swimmer pick the right ones. The season's meets are on the Schedule page.
What happens at a first swim meet?
We have a full step-by-step guide and packing list: Your first swim meet.
How will I hear about schedule changes?
Through sportsYou. The calendar on this site updates from it too, and you can add it to your phone from the Schedule page.
Are parents expected to volunteer?
Our volunteer policy is coming soon. If you'd like to help in the meantime, talk to a coach.
What is Safe Sport?
USA Swimming's athlete protection program. Our club follows the Minor Athlete Abuse Prevention Policy (MAAPP), and parents are asked to review it each year. Details and reporting contacts are on our Safe Sport page.
